What can be cuter than headbands for babies? Even if it’s a simple circle of lace or a small bow on her forehead, it makes her cuter and more adorable than anything. But what practical use is there on a baby? It’s not like she has a lot of hair to keep out of her face. Well, the biggest reason is to stop that annoying question.. “Is it a girl?” Completely nonfunctional, but utterly adorable, heart, lace or baby flower headbands make a clear statement to the world: FEMALE! Plus, headbands for baby probably one of the very easiest gifts to make by hand.
Relatively cheap and even easier to make, headbands for babies can complete just about any darling little outfit you put on her.
These are easy to make and it takes no time at all. With any home made headband, you can make it for any occasion or holiday event. They take approximately 15 minutes to make and look great! If you’re looking for the ultimate gift for a friends baby girl, these are gifts from the heart.
- Place stretchy ribbon around your babies head to measure the length. Remove the ribbon, cut where it will be sewn into a headband.
- Take additional color ribbon and cut it the same length.
- Now, take both colors of ribbon you want to use, loop together, without cutting from spool. Do at least three to four loops.
- After loops are the length you want, cut from spool and sew ribbon together in the middle. Do not use hot glue yet.
- With ribbons sewn together, place over headband where it was sewn together and using a long and thick sewing needle, sew onto headband.
- Once sewn onto white headband, cut about an inch of ribbon, color of your choosing, wrap around ribbon, where it was sewn onto headband. Now, use hot glue gun to make sure it is secure.
- Finally, using hot glue gun, place little white ribbon in middle of headband ribbon to complete the look. When headband is completed, you can twist each piece of ribbon like I did for effect.
These look great on babes, and they are even better given as a gift.
